Teresa Joyce Higgins

Teresa Joyce Higgins, 61, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away on July 1, 2019.

She was born on September 23, 1957 in Long Beach, California to William and Darlene Carey.  Teresa graduated from Sacred Heart in 1975, where she lettered in multiple sports, including track and cheerleading.  She had a special love for softball.  After high school, Teresa worked at Albertsons and then went on to working with children until she began working at the KOA in 2004.

Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed baking and cooking for everyone, making holiday cookies with her grandchildren, and playing board games and cards with her very special friend Kathy Badorek.  She always had a great time in the outdoors and camping.

Teresa is survived by her parents; brothers and sisters; her son and daughter-in-law Travis and Brooke Higgins, and son and daughter-in-law Corey and Jess Higgins; and her daughter Lacey Hawkins.  In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She has nine grandchildren, Tanner, TJ, Tulson, Aubrey, Bostynn, Easton, Haydyn, Jacob, and Cameron.

A celebration of life BBQ will take place at Crest Park, located on the corner of Hilyard Street and Crest Street in Klamath Falls, on July 6, 2019 at 12:00 PM.
