Angelo Stanley “Stan” Van Horsen II was born in Artesia, California on December 8, 1942 and passed at home in Klamath Falls on April 4, 2022 into the hands of his heavenly Father.
Stan was employed as a Transportation Specialist for U-Haul Corporation and later worked as a maintenance supervisor, retiring to Klamath Falls in 2006 with his wife Cherie.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3849 in Shenandoah, Iowa and attended First Presbyterian Church in Klamath Falls.
Stan enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and maintaining his home and property amongst the pine trees. He loved his cats, Dolly, Missy, Darbee and Samantha. He was devoted to bible reading and his Christian faith.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo Stanley Van Horsen and Dolores Addison Van Horsen (Feauto).
Stan is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Cherie Van Horsen, also survived by his first wife, the mother of his children, Margaret Masicampo (Nehmer) of Hawaii, his cousins, Russ Freeman (Shari), Candice Glew (Budd) and by his brother-in-law, Larry W. Gentry.
He is also survived by his beloved children, Rebecca Myers, Deborah Palmer and Paul Van Horsen (Kathy), Grandchildren Stepheny Cajala (Duke), Andrew Palmer (Rachelle), Kellen Palmer (McKenzie) and Tuesday Cates (Sydney), great grandchildren, Jadin and Coltin Cajala and Raelynn Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Klamath Falls in memory of Stan Van Horsen or Alley Cat Allies.org based in Bethesda, Maryland.
Private family services are pending in Sidney, Iowa.
