Ardell Caroline Peterson

Ardell Caroline Peterson passed away August 4th, 2023 with her loving husband by her side after a long illness that she faced bravely. She was 79.

Ardell was born in Lidgerwood, ND on August 23, 1943. She grew up on the family farm outside of Lidgerwood with her parents, Art and Della Berner, and her brother, Gene Berner. Unfortunately, her sister, Marilyn Berner, only lived a few hours after birth.

She married and had two children, Kim Schuschke and Carolyn Hall. The family lived in several places before settling in Great Falls, MT. She spent many years working at the local K-Mart stores there. It was after her divorce that she met her current husband of 36 years, John Peterson. They moved to his native Canada before finally placing roots in Klamath Falls, OR. She went to work at Fred Meyer where she stayed until she retired. In retirement, she spent many hours in her garden when she was not traveling with her husband in the U.S. and abroad.

Ardell was active in her local church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Club. She also volunteered at Sky Lakes Medical Center working at the information desk. In her spare time, she loved to do needlework, especially cross stitch. She had been known to sell several of her completed projects at local yard sales. She was always delighted to hear that someone appreciated her work.
