Betty Mozingo Obituary

                                                                               OUR BELOVED MOTHER

Betty Ethelynn Mozingo, 93, long-time resident of Klamath Falls, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on April 11, 2023.  Betty was born in Hickory, Oklahoma, in 1929, to Isaac and Beatrice Wright.  After moving west in the early 1930s, she lived in Idaho for a short period of time, and eventually moved to Oregon.

Betty married the love of her life, Robert Mozingo, in 1947, in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  Raising kids and working various jobs kept her and Robert more than busy, but they always found time to relax and camp with their family.  Betty spent many years as a culinary artist at Oregon Institute of Technology.  She was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

Betty's dedication and commitment to her TOPS club was a high priority in her life. She was a loyal member for over 27 years.

Betty was a "woman's woman"!  She loved dressing up for formal affairs, and yet she could be in jeans and a sweatshirt the next day--fishing at her favorite creek and enjoying God's creation.  She taught many grandkids and great-grandkids how to fish for the "itty-bitty" Brook Trout.  They will all have fond memories of her singing her favorite song to them, "Down In The Meadow", which they will cherish for a lifetime.

Betty had many hobbies: hunting, crocheting, listening to western music, camping, and enjoying family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and her sister, Phroncie Dodson, and Anita Mann.  She is survived by her long-time close friend John Reed; her children Robert Mozingo of Prineville, Oregon; Jim (Gloria) Mozingo of White Bird, Idaho; Don Mozingo (Liz Hartzell) of Gilchrist, Oregon; David Mozingo of Chiloquin, Oregon; Mitzi Martinez (Rigo) of Tulelake, California, and Christopher (Laree) Mozingo of Klamath Falls, Oregon; 29 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

We love and miss you, mom!   ...Meet you at the fishing hole!!
