    Betty Roberts – Lay died peacefully at home with her daughter Radina by her side on December 18, 2023, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at the age of 78.

    Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Roberts; son Ryann Roberts (Teri) of Goodyear, Arizona; daughter Radina Petrik (Kyle) of Merrill Oregon, and son Corbin Roberts, Denver Colorado; grandchildren Bethany, Brielle, Joshua, Brooke, Kaelyn, Owen, Wade, Seth, and her sisters Joyce Sonntag of Ripon, Wisconsin and Joan Cramer of Pahrump, Nevada. She is preceded in death by parents Claude and Mildred Lay and brother Roy Lay.

    Betty was born on October 5, 1945, in Santa Ana, California. She graduated from Santa Ana high school in 1963. She married Richard Roberts, whom she met while working together in the post office in 1965. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 6, 1967. The couple welcomed 3 children into their home, living in California prior to moving to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1983.

    Her children remember her as a kind, hard-working faithful mother who cherished her family and encouraged them all to meet their desired goals. Betty was passionate about her family, her printing business, her church and her entire community. Betty loved to watch her children and grandchildren participate in all of their sports and hobbies. She also loved to read, walk and travel to spend quality time with all of her amazing friends and family. She was an active member of her church, Hope Lutheran, and throughout her life she spent countless hours volunteering for Quota Club, Elks Lodge, American Legion baseball and Little League Baseball,

    A Celebration of Life memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Friends of Pets of Klamath Basin at 4809 Altamont Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97603.
