Dale was a loving & caring Husband, father, grandfather, brother & uncle. On April 2, 2022 Dale lost his battle to a lengthy illness and this world lost an amazing man at the age of 72.
He was born to Orval & Fern Musgrove on May 20, 1949. Dale lived on Walton Drive in Klamath Falls Oregon with his parents and his siblings Sharon Ellis, & David Musgrove.
Dale attended Ferguson Elementary school, Altamont Jr. High, and KU High School from which he graduated in 1967. Dale met some lifelong friends throughout his schooling including, Jack Depew, Lee Hamilton, Keith Jessup, & John Lindmeier.
He joined the US Navy in September of 1967 in which he served on the USS Richmond K. Turner, the USS New Jersey, and the USS O'Callahan. During his service, Dale served in the Vietnam War assisting in rescuing pilots that had been shot down in the Gulf of Tonkin. Dale married Judy Musgrove in 1970. They had four children together, Chad, Bradie, Marlin, & Todd. They divorced in 1989.
Dale married Jan Musgrove in 1990 in Ashland Oregon, and became a step dad to Brenda.
After his time in the service, Dale learned the Plumbing trade from his dad who owned his own business. He chose plumbing as a career and did this for over 30 years.
Dale's family and friends were the biggest part of his life. He and Jan loved to travel and explored Hawaii, Costa Rica, Mexico and New Orleans together. Dale & Jan enjoyed camping, along with fishing, & hunting with his friends.
In July of 2000 they became Grandparents to Matt when Dale's son Chad married Amy. Then in 2001 Dale & Jan were blessed with 2 more grandchildren, Kaden & Hannah, and again in 2006 when their grandson Cobi was born. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and he and Jan attended many sporting events rain or shine cheering them on.
Dale followed in his dad's footsteps and became a member of Moose Lodge 1106. Here he served as the Governor twice. He ran the yearly Golf fundraiser for the Special Olympics raising thousands of dollars each year for this organization.
Dale loved watching Jeopardy & trying to get the final question. He took over the Facebook world with his Mostly Totally Useless Information, and all his followers looked forward to these quotes each week.
Dale is survived by his wife of 32 years Jan; his daughter Bradie & son-in-law Harry Mayfield; his son Todd Musgrove; step daughter Brenda Shadley, and daughter in law Amy Musgrove; grandkids, Kaden, Hannah, Cobi, and Matt (Ashlee); sister Sharon Ellis; brother David Musgrove & sister-in-law Diane; brother-in-law & sister-in-law Tetter & Missie Hess; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Barb & Bob Gray. He is also survived by his special friend Mike Bureau & family; aunt Pattie Newlun; his ex-wife Judy Musgrove, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great niece, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Orval and Fern Musgrove, his grandmother Nan Christensen, his sons Chad & Marlin Musgrove, Mother in-law Vera Hess, and his niece Shawna Ross.
Dale's celebration of life will be at 1pm on Saturday April 9th, at O'Hair-Wards Funeral Chapel located at 515 Pine St., Klamath Falls, with a reception to follow at Tayas Yawks 3206 Onyx Ave. Graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 11th at Klamath Memorial Park.
Dale was fond of The American Cancer Society, and the Klamath Lake Food Bank. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to either of these organizations it would be greatly appreciated.
