Daniel Bradley Hawkins, 64, of Klamath Falls, Oregon peacefully passed away at home on November 8th after a hard-fought battle with adrenocortical carcinoma.
Danny was born on December 1st, 1955 to Merlin and Carolyn Hawkins in Escondido, California. After graduating from Vista High School in 1973, he went on to his long, successful career as a contractor. He built numerous apartment complexes, spec homes and custom homes. In his years living in California he enjoyed going to Del Mar Racetrack, riding his 3-wheeler at Gordon’s Well, and playing slow-pitch softball. In 1984, Danny met his wife, Jeannette (Osuna) Hawkins on a blind date, and married after only four months of dating.
In 1994, he and his family relocated to Klamath Falls, Oregon to build Ferndale Homes. After that project, he built condos and homes near Harbor Isles. After years of hard work, Danny and Jeannette enjoyed years of traveling in their motorhome (his favorite place was Pirate’s Den on the Colorado River), going to Reno, working in their yard, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Carolyn. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeannette; his brother Russell (Sonya) and his sister Diann (Ray); his three children Daniel (Alex), Michael (Heidi), and Russell (Tess); and his seven grandchildren (Kiki, Ricardo, Anthony, Sophia, Michael, Annalise, and Little Danny).
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date due to Covid restrictions.
Please feel free to share a memory about Danny.
