Dena Garriott

Dena Garriott was born in Corning California May 28, 1957. She was adopted by her mother Verda Williams Doshier and Father Charles Wesley Doshier shortly after. She grew up in Tulelake, California where she attended Elementary through High School, graduating in 1975. She attended the First Baptist Church in Tulelake, California growing up. On March 21, 1971 she asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior and was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Dena married her husband Bill August 1, 1981 at the First Baptist Church in Tulelake, California. She and Bill lived in Olene together for the next almost 42 years. She worked as a homemaker and mother throughout her married life, a job which she took very seriously and worked very hard at with great pride. She always had a sparkle in her eyes and smile on her face. She made many lifelong friends. She was never shy about striking up conversations with anyone, a true example for Jesus. She was a member of the Baptist church on Homedale, formerly Suburban Heights Baptist Church. Her favorite Bible verse was Romans 8:18, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

Dena was called away by her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on June 19, 2023. She will be truly missed by all she touched. She was preceded in death by her Father Charles Wesley (Doc) Doshier and Mother Verda Williams Doshier. She is survived by her Husband William Love Garriott III. with whom she was married for 42 years, her children William Love Garriott IV. and Wesley Dale Garriott, daughter-in-law Breanne Shults, grandchildren Addison Sage Garriott & Liam (William) Love Garriott V. Father-in-law William Love Garriott Jr., brother Dale Jay Doshier, sister-in-law Kim Doshier, Nephew Brett Doshier and his wife Kiana and great nephew Bronson Doshier, and Niece Caitlin Brooks her husband Tanner and Nieces Ellie and Parker Brooks.

Services will be held Thursday June 29, 2023, at 10:00 am. at the Baptist Church on Homedale followed by a graveside service and interment at Eternal Hills.
