November 17, 2021, Dorothy Esther Embertson, wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed to join her husband Martyn.
She was born to Harry Owings and Ruth Chapman Owings July 13, 1923. Married Martyn Embertson, August 18, 1941 in Salome, AZ. They eventually settled in Malin, OR.
Holding the title of museum director she was instrumental in developing the Tulelake Museum and was awarded the Blue Ribbon Award for her dedication to the museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband Martyn.
She is survived by her sons, Martyn D. Embertson (Sharon) and Leslie L. Embertson
Grandson Terry Embertson of Roseburg, OR and Granddaughter Jacqueline Embertson Rosch (Robert) of Bedford, Illinois.
Great-grandchildren: David and Daniel Embertson, Benjamin (Joy) Rosch, Zachary, Christina and Katie Rosch and 4 great-great-grandsons.
Dorothy will be missed not only for her cooking, quilting and knowledge of local history but also her love and kindness to all that crossed her path.
Service to be announced at a later date.
