Edwin Austin (Ted) Caldwell was born in Los Angeles, California on February 8, 1929. He passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 94, at the Marquis Plum Ridge Care Center in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He lived there for over a year due to failing health.
Interment services with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday March 17, at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
After serving in the Korean war as a young man, Ted pursued family life and a career in sales and business, working many years for the National Blank Book Company in California. His dream was to own his own business which he was able to do with his business partner Dick Flodstrom. They bought and operated Active Office Supply for 13 years in Klamath Falls. They were very involved in the community. Ted and his family were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many ways during his life including as a bishop and on several stake high councils. Although Ted was very involved with work and church service, he loved his family very much and enjoyed any time he could spend with them.
Preceding him in death were his first wife Mary Jane Caldwell, nee Burt; and his granddaughter Brie Anna Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Caldwell (Faulkner Meek); sons Alan, Clifford, and Bruce Caldwell; daughter Susan Ayres (Caldwell); along with their spouses. He was blessed to have 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren that loved him and will carry on his legacy.
