Frances Lucille (Shaw) Payne 95, went to be with the Angles on Sunday August 15, 2021 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Frances was born May 13, 1926 in the Mather, Wisconsin area to Willard and Gertrude Shaw. Frances was raised in Mather and met and married her husband, Donald Payne on August 9, 1943. Their union was blessed with six children. Throughout their 43 years of marriage, they lived in various locations including Tomah, LaCrosse Prairie Du Chien, WI., and in Waukon, Lansing and McGregor, IA. In 1962 they moved to the Klamath Falls area where Frances spent her remaining years.
Frances was a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She worked as a cook, waitress, bartender, housekeeper in various factories to provide for her children. Work and caring for six children did not leave ample time for hobbies. She had a love for dancing to country music, and would take advantage of every opportunity to do so. Frances was always ready for a good laugh and enjoyed socializing. Suffering through many hardships, she was always able to look for a brighter tomorrow. She was a caring dog owner and spoiled her fur babies as if they were children. She remained feisty, determined and independent; qualities she carried with pride until the end. This final tribute is at her approval to assure it is as she wanted it to be!
Frances is survived by her children; Donald Jr, (Marilyn), Klamath Fall, Or., Joseph (Teddi) Payne, Portland Or., and Christel Jean (Payne) Vogt, Klamath Falls, Or. And many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her latest fur baby and companion, Pincess.
