Jim Ostrander Obituary

Jim Ostrander, age 72, passed away on March 3, 2023, following a long illness. Jim grew up in Vancouver, Washington and lived there for many years. After graduating from Columbia River High School, he joined the National Guard, and served for six years and began a career in the grocery industry. He relocated to Klamath Falls, in 1997, to become the store manager for Safeway. Jim retired from Safeway around 2007.  He then worked as a Realtor, with Century 21 for a couple of years.  After leaving Real Estate, he went into banking. He worked for Umpqua Bank, as the branch manager, before he became ill.

Before becoming ill, Jim enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting and enjoyed his bowling team. He loved music and never outgrew his love for cars. Jim was always happy to help his friends and family with whatever they needed. He is survived by his two sisters, Debbie Ostrander and Kathy Ostrander and five cousins. His intelligent, kind, generous and humorous nature will be missed by all who loved him.

There will be a private family service held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
