Justin Richard Steckley

Justin Richard Steckley, 46, passed away in Klamath Falls on February 15, 2022. A funeral will be held on February 26, 2022 at 11 am at O’Hair-Wards Funeral Chapel (515 Pine Street) in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Justin was born on May 23, 1975 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Richard and Carolynn (Pyles) Steckley. He attended various schools in Klamath Falls, graduating from Mazama High School in 1993. In his early years, he played baseball and basketball and enjoyed skateboarding. Justin was well liked and made friends easily. He loved sports and fishing and enjoyed teaching his son how to fish Justin moved away from Klamath Falls after high school and lived and worked in Ashland and then the Portland area before moving back to Klamath Falls.

Justin was blessed with one son, Cedric Justin Steckley, born on February 27, 2017. Justin constantly said how happy Cedric made him and how much he loved his son. He is survived by his son Cedric; his mother Carolynn Wetzel (Dale) and his father Richard Steckley (Jeannie) of Klamath Falls; his half-brother Michael Mackley of Troutdale, OR, and his siblings Brooke Steckley of Albuquerque, NM, Amber Steckley of Rexburg, ID, and Kent Wetzel of Klamath Falls; his step-siblings Darrel Young (Suzanne and their children) of Redding, CA, Valjean Newsome (Dave and their children) of Klamath Falls, and Darla Clark (John and their children) of Waxhaw, NC; his aunt Judy Steckley Waltrip, and cousins Tracy Desjardin, Todd Waltrip, Shannon Sequeira, and Derek Waltrip all of California; his aunt Carla Noblett, and cousins Dylan Greedy and Corinne Johnson all of Texas; his cousin Tamara Shaffer of Texas; his cousin Mary Curtis of California; his cousin Ambur Rozok of California; numerous step-family members; and other extended family. Justin was preceded in death by his four grandparents, Howard and Doris Steckley, and Joseph and Beverley Pyles; and his uncles Doug and Duane Pyles.
