Kalla Conway Obituary

Our beautiful Kalla Elaine May, born in Klamath Falls, Jan. 15, 1989, left to watch over us from heaven Dec. 10, 2013.

She was full of love and had a smile that was impossible to forget.  She always knew when to be a goofball or when to lend a shoulder to someone who needed it.   Her compassion was unmatched and she could always manage to find the good in people.

Kalla was very active in the 4-H program with her horses, guinea pigs, chickens and dairy goats; excellent in all.  She was proud to have graduated from high school with many college credits.  She attended Oregon Institute of Technology, taking psychology courses, and looked forward to helping people.  She stopped her education to get married and raise her child; and was employed as manager at Vista Optical.

Our sweet Kalla was creative, active, and would work as hard as possible if it meant accomplishing her goals.  She could often be found creating an incredible piece of art on scratch board, target shooting with family and friends, or her favorite pastime of working with her horses.  Kalla loved all animals.

Anyone lucky enough to have met Kalla couldn't help but absolutely adore her.  On Oct. 11, 2012, Kalla considered herself to be the lucky one when she married the man of her dreams, Nicholas Conway.  Nick and Kalla were perfect for each other; and the glow she had every day was because she found her soulmate in Nick.  It almost seemed impossible for her smile to get any bigger, but on April 29, 2013, she became the mother of a perfect little girl, Lealah Ann Conway, their “squish”.  Lealah made her heart grow and Kalla blessed the workd by sharing that love with everyone.  Her smile was permanent and her arms were always open.  Kalla changed people's lives for the better every day and never asked for anything in return.

Kalla was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, friend, sister, neighbor, hero and person you could ever find.  We are all so lucky that heaven gained an angel as genuine as her.  She loved everyone she knew so much that she never let that beautiful smile fade;  she simply taught her precious daughter to melt our hearts with it in her place.  Kalla showed us how to open our hearts, enjoy the little things, keep our promises and always believe in ourselves.  She was an amazing woman who will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Kalla is survived by her husband, Nicholas Conway, and daughter, Lealah; parents, Donna and Tom Andersen;  brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Amanda Andersen and their sons; adopted brother, Arthur Tranah and his son; uncle Bill Andersen and his fiancee, Rosalinda; aunt, Carrie McCarthy; cousins and their spouses, Angie and Mike Reed, Alyssa and Ken McCue, Nicholas and Misty McCarthy and Chrisina Bassett many second cousins; inlaws, Debra and David Howard; grandmothers, Pat Andersen and Alice Breed; uncle's Staff Breed and Stanley Breed; aunts, Nona, Andrea, Nita and Marcia and their wonderful spouses;  and her very special friends; you know who you are.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Andersen and Herbert Breed.
