Lawrence "Larry" Hopper Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Hopper, 79, ended his watch on November 6th 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born to Wallace & Mary Hopper August 7th 1942, in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from San Gabriel Mission High School in 1960, and attended Citrus Collage before in listing in the Marine Corps in March 1961, and continued his service until 1965. Prior to leaving for his military service, he met his future bride & love of his life, Jeannette, they married in June of 1965. This year they were able to celebrate their 56th wedding Anniversary. Together they raised 4 children, Susie, Patti, Tim & Bill, over the years their family grew by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

During Larry’s life he was an employee of Union Oil Company of California, trained and certified by the state of California and later owned and operated a Union 76 Service Station in Glendora California. In 1978 he moved his family to Klamath Falls and continued his profession as a mechanic at Balsiger Ford. He later worked in both car sales and service writing. Upon retirement he volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and later was employed by Klamath Basin Behavioral Health, as a Secure Transport driver. His hobbies included watching Golf, playing golf, and talking golf, bowling, and supporting his grandchildren in their activities.

Larry is proceeded in death by his parents and his oldest brother Patrick Hopper, and is survived by his wife Jeannette Hopper, Daughters Susie (Ed) Daniels, Patti (Mike) Johnson, sons Tim (Vickie) Hopper, & Bill (Jackie) Hopper, Brother Mike (Mona) Hopper, 8 Grandchildren & 2 Great grandchildren.

Services will take place Saturday November 20th at 11:00 a rosary will proceed the service at 10:30 at St Pius X Catholic Church.
