Lester "Jack" Fleck Obituary

    Lester Charles "Jack" Fleck passed away January 29, 2024, at his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at the age of 101. Jack was born June 28, 1922, in Wamego, Kansas, to Lester (Shim) and Nellie Fleck.  
    Jack lived most of his life in Merril, Oregon, where he attended elementary and high school.  Jack was quite athletic, especially enjoying basketball.  
    Jack married Ida Mae (Kandra) and had three children.  He worked for First National Bank in Merril, and then for Winema Elevators in Tulelake, California, along with farming and ranching on the side.
    Jack and Ida moved to their home on Klamath Lake, where Jack sailed his 25-foot Santana sailboat in his free time. 
    After losing his wife, Jack moved to Shield Crest, where he lived until his death. 
    Jack enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, bowling, and especially golf with his friends.
    Jack served in in the Navy during World War ll aboard an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific.
    Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brother Elmer (Jake) Fleck, wife Ida Mae, son Clayton Charles Fleck, and daughter Kandra Lea (Kandy) Fleck.  He is survived by his son, Craig and daughter-in-law Collette, and many, many dear friends.  
    Services will be held at O'hair-Wards Funeral Chapel in Klamath Falls, Oregon on Tuesday, February 6 at 11 a.m.
