Lilija Lidija Wimer

    Lilija Lidija Wimer passed away August 19, 2023 in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the age of 88.   Lilija was born In Kaunas, Lithuania October 10, 1934 to Jonas and Maria Slionys; she had many pleasant memories from living on a farm with her family and extended family in Lithuania.  

    Following World War II, Lilly and her family were displaced people and came to this country in 1950.  Lilly and Donald Wimer were married in 1952 and they had four children.  Lilly became a naturalized citizen in 1965.  Of seven brothers and sisters, she leaves behind four sisters: Emma, Marta, Harta, and Ruthie; she also leaves behind three kids-Joan, Jeff, and Bob, grandkids and great-grandkids, and nieces and nephews.  Lilija liked knitting, gardening, puzzles, cooking, her many years working at the store, picking fruit, and more.  She loved God and was a loving person.  

    A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 2, at 10:00 AM at Fort Klamath Historic Cemetery
