Lora Mae Bosworth

    Our dear mother, Lora Mae Bosworth went to heaven on Sunday, August 13, 2023.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was always there when we needed her.  Lora was born on October 30, 1936 in Ravenswood, West Virginia. She was married to her husband Ralph for 40 years.  

    Lora will be lovingly remembered by her family: daughters Ellen (Bill) Fisher; Karen (Randy) Omdahl and her son Jeff; her sister, Judy Largen; brothers Ernest Barnes and Ray Barnes. 

    Lora’s family meant the world to her, including her seven grandchildren; Leslie, Brian, Travis, Quentin, Michael, Sherry and Ben; her eight great-grandchildren: Caleb, Matthew, Alyssa, Liam, Michael, Alexander, Lily and Evan. Also Included in her family were many nephews and nieces.  

    Lora loved singing, reading the bible, and spending time with her family. She worked as a waitress at Casey's Restaurant and Jojis Restaurant for many years. She loved meeting new people and was the kindest woman, with a huge heart for everyone she met. She was cherished as a friend, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered by her warmth, kindness and the way she made everyone feel loved.

   Lora was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bosworth; parents Anna and Ernest Barnes; sisters Delores and Carmie, and brother Charles. 

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me., 

Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile. 

Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
