Michael D. Parsons

Michael D. Parsons, a lifetime resident of Klamath Falls, died Nov. 2, 2023, at the age of 62. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 12, at O’Hair-Wards Funeral Chapel.

Michael was born in Klamath Falls on February 17, 1961, to Joseph & Belva Parsons. In 1980, he married Melody Barney-Trainor in Klamath Falls. He went on to start a career at OIT in 1984, retiring in 2017. Professionally, he held a CDL, Pilot’s License, and earned over 51 different Dive Certifications. He loved diving and volunteered for 36 years on the Klamath County Sheriffs Dive Rescue team attaining the rank of Captain. He also enjoyed motorcycling, hunting and boating.

In addition to his wife Melody, Michael is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Oscar & Crystal Parsons of Dallas, OR; grandchildren Bianca, Molly, Rory, Issac, Macky, and Oakley all of Dallas, OR; brother and sister-in-law Steve & Joann Parsons of Snohomish, WA; sisters and brothers-in-law Vi & Mark Granlund of Portland, OR, Leana & Jeff Bickford of Wentzville, MO; uncles William Parsons of Klamath Falls, and Pete Courtright of Grants Pass, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Belva Parsons.
