Patricia Clark Obituary

Patricia R. Clark, of Klamath Falls, died Sunday, January 11 ,2020 at Sky Lakes Medical Center, Klamath Falls. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Clark.

Patricia was born September 8,1937 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, to Fred and Hazel Travers. She was one of seven children, and attended Lawrence High School.

She was a waitress at Howard Johnson when she met Ronald D. Elsmore, who was serving in the US Air Force. They married and had two children: Ronald D. Jr., and Barbara Ann. During their marriage, they were stationed in Montana, Wyoming, California, and Klamath Falls, Oregon. They divorced in Klamath Falls.

She married William Buehler and had a daughter, Billie Jo. They lived in Klamath Falls, and later divorced.

Patricia met and married Richard W. Clark, a farmer in Malin, OR. They wed December 3rd, 1975, remaining happily married until his death on August 27, 2014. They had a long and successful union, filled with many happy hours camping and fishing. In the wintertime, much time was spent walking their fields in search of arrowheads. They also enjoyed using their metal detectors to find buried treasures. Pat also enjoyed collecting. She loved decorating their home for the Christmas season; setting up a myriad of lighted buildings and fixtures. Richard served in the American Legion, with Patricia by his side, in the Legion Auxiliary. They traveled throughout the US, acting as representatives in the Legion's business.

When Pat's first grandchildren, triplet girls, were born, she made countless journeys from Malin to Klamath Falls in order to assist the frazzled new parents. This sixty-mile trek was done with a smile on her face and much love and care.

Patricia is survived by her siblings, Brenda Cabral and Geraldine Castleberry, of East Falmouth, MA and Charles L. Travers of Maryville, IL; her children, Ronald D. Elsmore Jr (Sharon) of Medford OR, Barbara Ann and Billie Jo of Klamath Falls OR; grandchildren, Tracy Bryan (Keith), Kristin Elsmore, Melanie Stevens (Josh) and Daniel Elsmore; great-grandchildren, Davis and Benton Bryan, and Paige and Dean Stevens.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Clark; siblings, Fred Travers Jr, Loretta Pingelski, and Daphne Bumgarner.

Complete memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
