Paula Elna Haberlein Houck, 96, passed away on March 8th, 2023, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, surrounded by loved ones. Paula was born on May 5th, 1926, in Yamhill, Oregon, to Paul Frederick Haberlein and Jesse Beryl Kutch. The Family moved to Irregon, Oregon, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Marylhurst College in 1946, where she met her future husband, Bruce Gerard Houck. They married in 1947 and had six children over the next ten years. During the following years, they lived all over Oregon, running businesses. Eventually they settled in Charleston, Oregon, where they owned the Basin Cafe and the Ice House. Bruce died in 1987, and Paula moved to Medford, where she lived until 2021. She then came to live in Klamath Falls with her daughter, Gail (Dennis). Her hobbies included drawing, painting, quilting, sewing and gardening.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Delores, and her son Don. She is survived by Daughter Gail (Dennis), Son Jerry (Rosanne), Daughter Kevin (Paul), Son Patrick (Trish), Son Tim (Val), 16 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Pius Catholic Church, 4880 Bristol Ave., Klamath Falls, Oregon. 10:30 AM Holy Rosary; 11:00AM Mass
