Ricky Dean Russell was born to Myrtle and Don Russell on May 17th, 1960 and was their first born child. Rick was special in that he was generous and loving to the core. He did not have a lot, but was a giving person. If Rick had his way it would be to hunt today, fish tomorrow and spend the rest of his time doing what he loved, farming. He always said if it couldn’t be done on a tractor it was not worth doing. After finishing high school at Lost River Rick took to working on the local farms in the Klamath Basin, which he did for the remainder of his life. Sometime on the night of December 12, 2020 Rick pulled up his feet and went to sleep; carried away to his ancestors. Rick is survived by his father Don Russell, brother Brian Russell and sisters, Rachelle “Shelly” Gates, Alesia Claybaugh and Kathryn Rutledge. Rick’s mother Myrtle Russell and younger brother John Russell took their journey earlier in life. For many reasons Rick will be missed and it is sad, however, he is now at peace and can rest without pain. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
