Sheila Fabrizio Obituary

Sheila Mary Catherine Fabrizio was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada to Julia Carey Chartrand and Louis Chartrand. She was raised in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. She graduated from local schools and received her B.A. degree from St. Mary’s College of the University of Manitoba.

She moved to Los Angeles and married Al Fabrizio in 1953. They had eleven children and lived in Los Angeles, Azusa, and Glendora before making their home in Santa Ana, California. Sheila and Al were active in the Immaculate Health of Mary parish, where Sheila was the school librarian.

In 1989 they moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon. In the early years in KF, Sheila was a volunteer for the Klamath County Museum and the Klamath County Library. She was active in Saint Pius X Church, Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, and the Upper Room Prayer Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, and her son Christopher Anthony, and infant son Michael Gerard, and brother Msgr. Norman Chartrand.

Sheila thoroughly enjoyed her family, her parish family, and her Rogue River Place family. She loved living in Klamath Falls.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Friday evening, January 24, at 7 p.m., at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, followed by an overnight vigil. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 25, at 10 a.m., officiated by Father Shiju Thuruthiyil, OSH. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow the Mass at the parish hall.

Sheila is survived by nine children, 16 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren: Daughter Margaret Fabrizio; Daughter Patty Fabrizio Baumgartner, spouse Robert Baumgartner, grandchildren Caroline Baumgartner with partner David Benoit, Philip Baumgartner with spouse Anita Baumgartner, Sibylle Baumgartner, great-grandchildren Valerie, Lukas, and Lily; Son Paul Fabrizio, spouse Ginger, and grandchildren Robert and Juliana; Daughter Clare Fabrizio Scheffer, spouse Robin Scheffer, grandchildren Megan Scheffer Ramsey with spouse Brady Ramsey, Ryan Scheffer, Matthew Scheffer, Thomas Scheffer, great-grandchildren Jude and Isla; Daughter Ginny Fabrizio Sackett, spouse Larry Sackett, grandchildren Katie Sackett Howisey with spouse Greg Howisey, Erin Sackett, great-grandchildren Wren and Galen; Daughter Cecilia Fabrizio, spouse Ron Stover, grandchildren Emily and Jessy; Daughter Elizabeth Fabrizo, spouse Matthew Jacobi, and granddaughter Sarafina; Son Vince Fabrizio, spouse Kim Fabrizio, and grandchildren Isabelle and Peter; and Daughter Theresa Fabrizio
