Sylvia Ann Blishak of Klamath Falls, OR passed away peacefully in her home on July 21, 2021.
Sylvia was born in January of 1938 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Grace Stark and G. Homer Hamlin. The oldest of 3 sisters, Sylvia was an avid sail boat racer in her youth who competed with her father Homer at Avila Beach, CA. Sylvia was a graduate of San Luis Obispo High School. Sylvia, along with her husband Theodore Blishak, operated the Accent on Travel travel agency, later changing its name to Train Travel Consulting. Sylvia was an avid traveler and travel writer who especially loved vintage steam trains and traveling by rail. She was also a huge fan of Art Deco style and architecture, big band, classical, and pipe organ music.
Sylvia was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Theodore Blishak, her parents Grace and Homer, and her sister Edith Henderson.
Sylvia is survived by her sister Patricia Lockett, son Mark Pearson, daughter Linda Hanson, step-daughter Rebecca Santini, and four grandchildren.
It was Sylvia’s wish that no public memorial be held.
