Wilbur Clair Harnsberger Jr.(86) passed away at his home on the evening of May 17th, 2020, with family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn L Harnsberger (Dickson), Son Alan E Harnsberger Daughters Ginger L Bustos, and Jean Harnsberger. Grandchildren: Carri Hudson, Kelly Dewall, Naomi Reed, Jordan Sprinkle, Ephriam, Alex, Hannah, and Clare Harnsberger. Also, nine great-grandchildren.
Wilbur was a native Oregonian, born in Salem, then moved to Klamath Falls as a toddler. He attended Shasta Elementary and Henley Elementary and High School, where he enjoyed boy scouts, 4H, and participated in various sports. Wilbur attended Oregon State University and Southern Oregon University. Most of his life, he lived at residences on Cross Road near Mt Laki. It was on these properties that he became a lifelong farmer and rancher, raising cattle, sheep, alfalfa hay, grain, potatoes, sugar beets, and more. Wilbur was active in the Henley-Merrill farm community, Henley High Alumni, and served on the board of Vector Control. He was a member of the Klamath Falls Moose lodge. He was thrilled to have the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and to spend several winters in Arizona.
Wilbur delighted in piloting his small plane, playing golf, Billiards (pool), hunting deer & goose, and spending time with his grandkids.
